Following on from the recent completion of the new sports pavilion, additional classrooms and new Humanities department (all MEB Design projects), the next phase was to design a matching teaching block development. The new building comprised the extension of the existing ‘Tookey’s’ classroom block, which was completed in 2011, adding twelve new classrooms over two floors with a glazed link in-between. The rear parking area was redesigned to incorporate coach and mini-bus parking with a coach lay-by provided alongside the internal road facing the playing fields. The building was opened by Sir Tim Rice.
