Our Client bought a derelict bungalow on a large plot with woodland to the rear and set within the beautiful Worcestershire countryside. With the intention of building their dream home and moving from Somerset to be closer to their ever growing family, our client commissioned us to make their dreams a reality. Requiring a house which would not only accommodate themselves and their beautiful collection of antiques, but also their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren we discussed their brief in detail to ensure that the home we designed not only met their needs today but their future needs also. With the brief set Matthew Gullick Architects designed a stunning Georgian style Manor house and garage with carefully chosen bricks, stone quoins, window sills and lintels and sash windows the client was thrilled with the finished result. The large entrance hall contains a handmade feature timber staircase and leads you to 3 large bedrooms and a master suite with en-suite bathroom and walk in wardrobes. On the ground floor the heart of the home is the large handmade kitchen with cooking range and breakfast bar which connects seamlessly to the dining area. The separate large homely living room is large enough for the frequent family gatherings yet still retains a cosy warm feeling. Off the kitchen is an oak framed sunroom positioned to make best use of the quite rear garden. With a study, WC and utility room our clients needs were met and their expectations exceeded. Matthew Gullick Architects provided full RIBA Architectural services on the project.
