The new building includes two new playrooms and staff facilities plus a large meeting area for parents and children. The building is designed to maximise natural light and views of the Grandpont nature reserve, and is inspired by the principles of the Reggio Emilia Children Nurseries, where the children are allowed a complete control over their activities. The nursery is one of the most advanced Children's Centres of this kind. Internal arrangements and carefully considered design solutions offer the best environment for the children’s learning experiences. The response from the local community has been very enthusiastic.
