Datchet Water Sailing Club is based at the Queen Mother Reservoir in Berkshire. The club house needed a major refurbishment including a complete make-over of the changing rooms. We also advised on alternative heating solutions, and we managed to convince the club membership to invest in renewable energy. The initial feasibility looked at the full range of potential energy sources including aeolic, photo-voltaic (PV), solar thermal and heat pumps(ground, water and air based). The final installation comprised : 28KW with 200panels. Water source heat pump, 25KW system using the heat sump from the reservoir Air source heat pumps for smaller heating loads We provided full architectural services from design, sketching visuals, 3d model printing, research, Planning, product information, structural support, Tender and site supervision to completion.
