Alteration to existing property, Within a Conservation Area
Prama House, 267 Banbury Road, Summertown , Oxford , OX2 7HT , United Kingdom
The Brief To transform an Oxford period duplex apartment into a sturdy but stylish second family home, to be also used as a short term let. The client anticipated a minimal, but chic, specious and ambient flat fit for a family with one or 2 school aged children. The Proposed (Outcome): The remodelling of the living, kitchen and circulation area to become an open plan family space. The bathroom was joined to the master bedroom to become an en-suite and a new cloakroom was formed next to the kitchen. Higher ceilings were constructed over level one and lighting was applied to enhance the features and space of the property. Existing fenestration plumbing and electrics were upgraded. The outcome was a stylish 3-bed duplex apartment. Interior: - wooden parquet floors treated with natural coatings - modern graphite kitchen - grey-coloured walls and ceilings - minimalistic light fittings - bespoke built-in furniture we helped to design - valued ceilings maximising available volume and exposing roof timbers Further read: https://marbleair.com/portfolio-item/bardwell-road/
