Dipl.-Ing. Michael Hormann was the founder and served as the Director and Architect of Märraum Architects from 2010 to 2018. He created the practice's original name and concept. During his tenure, he was the lead architect responsible for the architectural design and technical development of the studio's foundational projects, from concept and detailing to site involvement. Significant works from this period of his career include the barge "Brain of Brian," the Jubilee Warehouse (with Peter Skerrett), the Penwinnick new-build residence in Truro, the Devoran Old School development, and projects along Dunstanville Terrace. These projects were progressed through key stages under his leadership. This summary reflects Michael Hormann's professional history and design authorship during his directorship. He is now the principal of his independent practice, HA / Mär Studio.
