FALLING | IN LOVE is Mamou Mani Architects’ debut in stage architecture, created for Berlin’s Friedrichstadt Palast, the world’s largest theatre stage. Collaborating with Jean Paul Gaultier, Yoko Seyama, Sasha Frolova, and Chris Moylan, the team transformed the stage into a dazzling “Diamond City” adorned with 100 million Swarovski crystals. Premiering in October 2023, the show features 100 performers from 28 countries. Mamou Mani approached the stage as an architectural canvas, integrating eco-parametric design and digital fabrication via Fab.Pub to create fluid, sustainable forms that mirror the show’s fantastical and emotionally rich narrative.
