This Grade II* listed, early eighteenth century country mansion, has been restored and converted back into a single dwelling, having been used as a training centre and extensively damaged by fire. The roof has been re-created and the “imperial” staircase repaired. The interiors have been restored with their original ornamentation. The mansion forms the focal point in a new residential development within the surrounding parkland. A parterre garden has been laid out to replace the formal gardens lost during its previous use. A dairy and game larder remain within the grounds and both have been restored.
