The addition of a modern rear extension 10 x 7 m with an open plan kitchen, dining room and day lounge with large glass windows providing views over the garden. We opened up the house by replacing the servant’s stair and quarters with a music room and study and transformed the dark servant rooms by installing a daylight landing with a new wide stair extending the existing main stair. The design included 4 bathrooms and master bedroom suit and under pining the foundations. It was super insulated, with new double glazing and rainwater was captured and stored in the ground for reuse to water the garden.
