Alteration to existing property, Within a Conservation Area
The clients acquired a large arts and craft house with an extensive garden; located in a Chislehurst conservation area. The house needed modernisation and to be tailored to suit their family. The new kitchen dining room extension was the centre of family life, and a glass rear extension placed the dining room in their garden. All three sides of the dining room have glass doors that open fully and connect to the garden. We provided architectural and interior design, obtained planning and conservation area consent, prepared building control and tender information, and assisted the client’s selection of the structural engineer and contractor. The client led the interior design.
