MAD architects were approach by the new owners of a very dated bungalow in the suburbs of Sheffield, to redesign the interior and provide a modern extension. The clients were looking for a very modern, open plan living arrangement to suit their lifestyle. The plot surrounding the bungalow was of a good size allowing a reasonable sized extension to be planned. Through careful analysis of the site and the surrounding context, we were able to design a 15m extension to the bungalow, with no adverse comments from the planners, or the neighbours.
