MAD Architects have been commissioned to develop a scheme which creates a new dwelling for our client to provide a long term sustainable family home. The scheme has been designed to meet Passivhaus standard and will use an innovative palette of materials to enhance the buildings which have been conceived to resemble a series of farm buildings akin to those found in the local area The site is outside the currently defined settlement limits of Stanfree, but it is immediately adjacent to the boundary & existing residential development. The scheme is therefore being submitted for planning under Paragraph 55 of the National Planning Policy Framework, on the grounds of the exceptional quality and innovative nature of the design of the dwelling.
