Caring Wood is a new country house close to the village of Leeds, in Kent. The project, designed in collaboration with Rural Office for Architecture utilises contemporary sustainable design while also exploring the Kentish vernacular utilising local materials and craft. A hugely challenging project, the build aims to achieve Code for Sustainable Homes level 6 with negative CO2 emissions. The proposal was granted full planning consent in April 2012, the project is now on site with expected completion in 2015.
