This project was joint funded by Sport England, John Warner School (JWS), Broxbourne Borough Council & the DFE to be run jointly by Broxbourne and JWS. The main pool hall provides a 25 metre swimming pool plus learner pool. The pools are of stainless steel construction with continuous weld technology. The building also accommodates a 4 badminton court sports hall, 3 squash courts, an aerobics/fitness suite, cafe, bar, creche, social area, meeting room, offices and associated reception and changing facilities. The building was awarded an RIBA ‘Spirit of Ingenuity’ Award in 2002 and was seen as a flagship project by Sport England. The project was completed in March 2002.
