Lovelockmitchell were employed to develop the concept design of this new hotel for Holiday Inns and to prepare all the detailed design drawings for the Contractors Carillion Building. The contemporary design comprises 97 bedrooms with superb en-suite facilities, a grand hall which incorporates a reception area, bar and lounge area, servery, and dining room, and two meeting rooms. The hotel was constructed using a combination of an insitu concrete frame to the first floor with flat pack precast concrete panel sections above. The elevations are clad in an external insulated render system and cedar boarding. The project was constructed in ten months at a cost of ?4.5 million and subsequently won a Chester City Council Built in Quality award.
