The Heart Building is an innovative staff wellbeing and quality assessment centre designed by LOM to encourage interaction, collaboration, and creativity at the heart of Tesco’s head office campus in Welwyn Garden City. This people-focused working environment features a dramatic atrium and other flexible spaces where staff can interact with customers and suppliers. The building provides learning and training facilities, test kitchens, a 500-person event space, gym and a Tesco Express. The gentle, curving profile of this unique building and the considered landscaping surrounding it helps to soften the context of existing office buildings on the campus
