New Dealing Floor for Securities House. The brief for this commission was to move the existing bonds and equities trading area from the first floor of this building to the newly acquired third floor and to double the number of trading positions. As architects we were responsible for refurbishing the floor area, fitting a new raised floor and new partition layout to suit the client's operation. We coordinated the design of services installations, dealing desks, computer and communications installations and links. We set out and coordinated cabling runs. We obtained Landlord's consents for all alterations and Full plans Building Regulation approval from the City of London. Subsequent to this project we were employed by the same client to refurbish their first floor area and then to advise on fire precautions for all their floorspace. in 1993 we were employed to organise repairs to the fabric and decontamination of computer equipment consequent to the Bishopsgate bomb explosion.
