The initial phase involved the complete gutting of the interior, leaving only the front façade and parts of the roof intact. This allowed for a fresh start and greater design flexibility. The floor plan was extensively reconfigured to optimise space utilisation and flow. Notably, the entire first floor was removed and reconstructed without downstand beams, which improved the ceiling height and aesthetics of the ground floor. Extensive extensions were added to the rear of the property at both ground and first-floor levels. These extensions contributed to increased living space and may have facilitated the creation of the high-quality home office. A dedicated, high-quality home office space was incorporated into the design. This could include custom-built cabinetry, ergonomic workstations, and ample natural light to create an efficient and comfortable work environment. To ensure a superior finish, premium materials and finishes were l used throughout the project. This could include high-end flooring, fixtures, and fittings to elevate the overall aesthetic and functionality of the home. The design and architecture of the project may have focused on seamlessly blending the old and new elements of the house, preserving the historical front façade while modernising the interior and rear extensions.
