The Greenwich peninsular is going through much change which comes with new opportunities, namely the activation along the Thames footpath. The client approached Leonard Design with the desire to interact with the waterfront on what has been a very inward looking structure. The design solution proposed by Leonard Design respects the core design principles of The O2 as a building that was always meant to adapt over time. The next phase of the building seeks to open up the building to the waterfront and has begun to engage with this great opportunity with outward glazed restaurants facing the Thames-side in keeping with the modular system created in its infancy of an Icon.
