We worked on appartments on the fourth and fifth floors of this building which lies within the Boltons Conservation Area. The works included three new flush fitting, conservation rooflights and the replacement of three existing rooflights to the north east roof. We installed a new dormer window to the rear elevation and the new lead dormer allowed improved space and light into the existing bathroom. The traditional lead clad dormer was designed to blend with the existing roof. The new design complemented the traditional design of the existing building while respecting the local character of the surrounding conservation area. Internal alterations allowed easier circulation to the fifth floor rooms. The new staircase is much more sensible in design and allows better access to the room in the roof space. The dark room at the top benefited greatly from the new roof lighting.
