The design of this three storey, post war house was intended to mimic the classical style of architecture on this street. It's part of a carefully considered and balanced composition, forming part of the middle section of a terrace of seven properties. We greatly improved the habitable space through alteration of the existing attic roof space. This space was used as storage space and the location for the water tank. We proposed installation of a new rooflight to the hallway above a new staircase and two dormer windows to the rear slope. We created a new bedroom with study desk and additional shower facility. Our subtle changes to the interiors and new staircase up to the top floor created new, comfortable living accommodation.
