The project is a replacement of an existing rear and side extensions and full reconfiguration of a Semidetached House in Belsize park, North London , built in the beginning of the 20th century . The project is based on the idea of stretching the spaces to their limits, highlighting the full dimensions of the space in all the directions generating long perspective and controlled focal points. From the entrance lobby it is possible to see throughout the whole house without any visual interference up to the rear boundary of the garden, generating a dramatic perspective which emphasizes the depth of the space. The garden landscape becomes part of the living and dining area and the slope of the lawn reminds the nearby Hampstead heath and primrose hill. The garden hard landscape is left to a minimum celebrating the nature and its beauty. The design of the new additions to the rear and the side is the result of a meticulous process of deduction of recognisable architectural elements like roof , columns , floor, walls, generating an extremely minimalist envelope that clearly identifies itself against the original building .
