Larissa Johnston Architects took part in an International Competition to design a building for the Coniston Cricket Club in the Lake District. The practice collaborated with Rodrigues Associates, Structural Engineers, who developed the structural proposals for the scheme. The building is multipurpose and is designed to be used as a Cricket Pavilion in the summer months and a Holiday Let outside the cricket season. The architectural vision for the building is a contemporary design that responds to the particular and distinctive qualities of the site and is integrated sensitively within the landscape. The proposal was shortlisted and the team selected as one of three finalists to progress the design to the next stage.
