Within a Conservation Area, New Build
The new dwelling replaces the client's former bungalow on a site at the edge of a Conservation Area. The site has several protected trees and a natural fall across the length and depth of the site. The house was designed to reflect the client?s needs and desires for their new home. It connects well with its setting and compliments the surrounding landscape. The contemporary design also incorporates sustainable measures ? high levels of insulation, rainwater harvesting and heating and hot water provided by air source heat pumps. The use of sedum roof also holds onto rainwater as well as aesthetically providing a visual connection to the surrounding gardens. Clad in cedar over a reconstituted stone base the design has resulted in a stunning one-off family home. https://lapdarchitects.co.uk/lapd-projects-new-homes-self-build/warborough/
