A new station and an affordable workspace for local businesses partially housed within a vaulted brick viaduct adjacent to the station. The area was heavily redeveloped in the 1950’s and 60’s and is set to undergo sweeping change as part of the redevelopment of Spurs football ground. With this in mind, our design approach draws deliberate reference from the lost industries of horticulture and pot-making which dominated the area in the early 20th Century. Working with an artist Wendy Hardie, to create something uniquely local, place-specific and fine-grained, as a foil to the substantial scale and commercial character of the new football ground development.
