The INTO Academic Building for University of Exeter is designed to create a dynamic and inspirational space for students based around a feature, timber clad lecture egg that acts as the heart of the building. This new academic facility for international students, incorporates flexible teaching spaces, lecture theatres, learning resource centre, administration and a cafe area. The topography of the site has greatly influenced the layout and shape of the building. The arboretum to the north offers up a tree-lined vista which will provide a backdrop to the main teaching spaces. A three storey glazed climate wall supplies natural daylight and also provides transparency and dialogue between the occupants and the wider campus.
