Westminster
Within a Conservation Area
The project involves the complete remodelling of a family home located in the Westbourne conservation area under Westminster Council. At the heart of the four-story building is a striking red stairwell, which acts as a functional connector and a bold visual centrepiece. A double-height void on the first floor creates a seamless visual link between the ground and the first floors, enhancing the sense of openness. The kitchen, dining and sitting areas are bathed in natural light thanks to a new south-facing double-height opening that brightens the entire space. On the second floor, the master bedroom is designed with a luxurious en-suite bathroom, separated by a semi-transparent glazed partition. This thoughtful feature ensures privacy while allowing natural light to flow between the sleeping and bathing areas, creating a sense of spaciousness.
