This renovation project transforms 5 standard 1990s office into a high-end, open-plan offices that maximizes the existing building's potential. It is located in Battersea (London) within a large, former brewery with a Grade II listed status. We looked to both respect and enhance the office by replacing the roof to accommodate new conservation skylights and solar panels to increase the natural light within the office and provide a renewable energy source. The new roof also made it possible to have a mezzanine that provides a more secluded breakout space for people and increased the square footage. To make it a natural and comfortable place to work, we cladded the walls with acoustic finishes to improve sound quality and optimized the lighting design to ensure the lux levels are perfect for the office environment.
