Listed Building - Grade II, Within a Conservation Area
Old Palace Lane, Richmond upon Thames, London. Full refurbishment and extension of a Grade II listed dwelling in a conservation area. The original and innovative features of the house have been restored and conserved such as the doors, windows, and shutters. We extended the rear creating a double-height space with a contemporary and sympathetic language. Contemporary design, maximising floor to ceiling heights to allow natural light throughout. We designed adapting a contemporary approach whilst using original technologies like regency lime mortar on the walls and also for the foldable partitions to disguise the presence of the doors.
