About the practice

Founded in 2016 and based in Bude, Cornwall, KS Architects is a design-led practice specialising in residential extensions, refurbishments, and planning approvals for homes across the region. With experience gained at leading UK firms including AEDAS Architects (Liverpool), Abbey Holford Rowe, and Pollard Thomas Edwards, I bring a rigorous and thoughtful approach to every project; from bespoke private homes to well thought extensions. My work is grounded in contextual design, shaped by the history, landscape, and culture of each site. Every project begins with careful observation and conversation, evolving into architecture that balances heritage sensitivity with contemporary performance. I believe great design doesn’t always require high-tech solutions. My approach prioritises: Creative reuse of existing buildings Low-tech, high-performance detailing A fabric-first strategy for thermal efficiency and longevity By investing deeply in the design and specification of each home, I aim to deliver spaces that are robust, elegant, and tailored to how people live today and how they’ll live in the future.
