PassivPod is a range of ellipsoid shaped out-buildings that can be used as a home office, a gym, a summer house, holiday accommodation, a classroom or even a dwelling. The pods make use of Passivhaus principles to achieve minimal heating input and maximum thermal comfort. They are manufactured from plywood, natural insulation, solid timber linings and timber shingles to be low in embodied carbon and to eliminate toxic materials and off-gassing. The pods are fabricated off-site to minimise waste and maximise quality. Biophilic design principles are encapsulated in the PassivPod as the floor-to-ceiling windows, organic shape and natural materials provide a natural immersive experience.
