Brief: To extend the existing kitchen and dining areas and demolish the existing partition wall between the two spaces to create an open-plan kitchen/living/dining space. With full width bi-folding doors and large rooflights, the rear of the house will be flooded with natural light. Between the new dining and living room there will be a small relax area which will take advantage of the lower ceiling and slightly darker environment. The garden will be shortened to allow for a new external terrace which will have a flush finish with the internal space to create a smooth seamless transition. The proposed works will dramatically improve the existing rear elevation which is currently very tired and weathered.
