Kilburn Nightingale won this project for new library facilities for Emmanuel College Cambridge through an invited competition. The completed project involved refurbishment and renovation of the existing library buildings and wrapping the existing 1970’s extension in a new façade. This provides additional readers' spaces and enhanced environmental conditions. Facilities generally have been rationalised and improved making the Library more accessible and environmentally responsive. The project won an RIBA 'Spirit of Ingenuity Award' and was completed on time and within the budget.
