About the practice

Kieran Wardle Architects is a design studio that specialises in residential architecture. We appreciate the importance of generating design with a strong understanding of construction and work hard to draw inspiration from research, context, client and budget. We collaborate with clients at every stage of an architectural project to best understand their needs. We believe that only by having a fundamental understanding of the client’s wishes can a project truly be successful. We always think that it is within our power to make the most of elements such as landscape and natural light within a design. By taking a considered approach to elements such as materiality, scale, landscape and light we can use a well-defined set of tools to maximise the potential of a project. By maintaining a strong focus on design, we work hard to develop the best architectural solutions to the challenges that each project brings. We believe that elements such as flexibility and natural light are free for anyone to use and should be thought of as core parts of a well-designed architectural space. The studio can offer a wide range of support throughout a building project; from initial surveys and building appraisals at the beginning of the journey to in-depth concept design, planning submissions and construction drawings.
