The original house was cold and dark with a terrible connection to the garden. It has been extended with a loft conversion, single storey rear extension and double storey side extension – creating 5 double bedrooms and a generous living space. The rear extension has a triple panel sliding door which slides into a pocket in the wall, blurring the boundary between the patio and interior. The side extension was conceived to give a sense of security and privacy to the garden, and to also provide an additional ground floor multi-purpose room, as well as an ensuite and wardrobe area to the master bedroom. The rear extension was purposefully set in from the boundary to integrate the valuable southern aspect.
