Preparation of a masterplan for repair of the Listed Building and future development of the archive and library service Phase 1: We identified priorities for legislative compliance including a fire strategy to provide a protected means of escape and to increase the capacity for assembly use. We developed an access strategy and gained Planning, Listed Building Consent and Building Control approval and prepared tender documentation. The work included the design of a stone entrance ramp and enlargement of the panelled entrance lobby and upgrades to fire doors. Phase 2: Re-roofing of slate and lead roofs.
