What began as the refurbishment of a Victorian Warehouse in South London, soon grew into a major structural redesign. The addition of a new open plan floor atop the existing building dictated that a new steel frame be inserted into the brick shell. The result is two live/work units which are used to accommodate a theatre school and a general purpose public space available for hire. The finish remains industrial which suits the building and it?s occupants to a T. (Completed as Project Architect for JOA.)
