This locally listed townhouse in Sutherland Street, Westminster was extended, reimagined and refurbished to create a home with generous and bright spaces. Through a carefully planned remodelling process, the property was transformed from a one-bedroom house into a three-bedroom home, including a dedicated office within a newly extended front basement. In order to achieve the additional bedrooms the internal staircase was redesigned for improved functionality, as well as a new basement vault extension which added more space. The key challenge of the project was to approach the house as a blank canvas, ensuring every area was used efficiently while creating a home that feels open, functional and sensitively refurbished considering the heritage of the building.
