Pimlico House Renovation is a project that transforms a single-bedroom Victorian house on Sutherland Street into a bright, three-bedroom home with a dedicated basement office. The property is a locally listed Victorian townhouse situated within the Pimlico Conservation Area. The previous layout was inefficient and impractical, with a poorly designed staircase being one of the main issues. We approached the internal floor plans as a blank canvas, redesigning the main staircase to be efficient and to unlock new spaces. By extending into the front basement vault, we added a private study that further increased the footprint. These structural changes opened up space for two extra bedrooms while pulling daylight deeper into the floor plan.
