This Grade I listed Manor House near Wellington in Somerset was in a poor state of repair when the clients who were experienced in renovating historic property acquired it. The house was extensively restored including new sustainable energy source, new mechanical and electrical installation, and restoration of the fabric to retain many historic features. Jonathan Rhind Architects worked closely with the local authority Conservation Officer and Historic England to arrive at a design solution that respected the historic fabric whilst at the same time providing the functionality that the client required.
