Seven contemporary mews houses, three apartments and a new shop will regenerate a neglected back street and infill an unsightly gap in the historic St James Street frontage. Detail design in progress for six affordable houses (planning design by Conran & Partners) and for four open market units. Lightweight prefabricated structural systems using both timber and steel are being developed to overcome site constraints.
