Alteration to existing property, Listed Building - Grade II, Within a Conservation Area
JRA’s masterplan for The Mercers’ Company has regenerated their Home Estate, next to their livery hall at Frederick’s Place in the heart of the City of London. The project included numbers 1-3, 7 and 8 Frederick’s Place and 35 Old Jewry and a number of the building are grade II listed, dating from the 1770s when they were designed by renowned architects the Adam brothers. The completed masterplan has restored the historic enclave to its former glory, bringing the existing buildings back into commercial office and mixed use and extending their economic life, while respecting the character of the historic Guildhall conservation area.
