Listed Building - Grade II, New Build
Beck Farm Studios , St. Leonards Road , East End , LYMINGTON , Hampshire , SO41 5SR , United Kingdom
Denham Film Processing Building is a grade II listed building designed in 1936 by Walter Gropius that became redundant when Deluxe move their facilities in 2013 due to the prevailance of digital film. Our design converts the existing building into apartments as well as providing new accommodation – the masterplan and new apartment blocks have been inspired by Bauhaus theories to compliment the existing building. In 2006, John Pardey Architects achieved planning approval and listed building consent for the 10 acre site in Denham to provide 248 flats and houses including the conversion and refurbishment of the Grade II listed Walter Gropius and Max Fry’s 1936 former rank Film Processing laboratories. The site was acquired by Bloor Homes and a revised planning application is being submitted.
