The West Kirby United Reformed Church members decided that they wanted their building to match their growing vision for the future and employed us to look at a series of feasibility options: one was selected and taken forward to gain Planning Permission. The works is comprised of the construction of a new glass entrance vestibule at the front of the Church with associated internal works to form a foyer space with an extended viewing gallery above. At the Halls Entrance a new office and meeting room are being incorporated into an upgraded entrance lounge area. Aside from addressing obvious maintenance requirements of the existing building, proposed works will enable the structure to adapt to modern worship practices – creating a more welcoming and engaging church building that is able to hold its own within its busy context and helping maintain its healthy congregation and vital position at the heart of the community.
