John McAslan + Partners has received detailed planning permission for a regenerative over site development for the East London Line at Dalston Interchange The 33,000sqm residential and mixed-use scheme is arranged around the proposed rail and bus stations and is based on a development masterplan, also undertaken by the practice, which identified development opportunities in this neglected part of the City. The project is also a key component within the recently launched extension of the East London Line, which links Hackney to the north with Croydon to the south. John McAslan + Partners are advising Barratt, the preferred development partner during the delivery of the over site development. John McAslan + Partners’s Dalston Junction station, the northern anchor interchange within the new extension of the East London Line which links Hackney to the north with Croydon to the south, was opened by the Mayor of London in 2010.
