Call centre and headquarters building for horticultural mail order company. The project consisted of a 300 sq m two-storey extension to a former Victorian country house, located in a parkland setting adjacent to the A12 between Colchester and Witham. The building was conceived as a simple glazed structure to act as a foil to the ornate Victorian detailing of the host building. In 2008, the building was aquired by Essex County Fire and Rescue Sevice as a new headquarters building.
