Design of a large replacement house in the Lake District National Park. The design was granted Planning Permision on appeal and is progressing to a start on site in March 2009. The House has a green ethos at its heart and incorporates ground source heating, solar thermal water heating, timber frame construction in the form of engineered studs with filled with warmcell to give extremely high levels of insulation. The design uses traditional materials in the form of local stone and slate but incorporates modern twists to provide the client with a spacious contempory home in the heart of the Lake District.
