The major works involved the excavation of a 900sqft basement under the footprint of the existing house that was fully connected to the ground floor. The basement stair was dropped through the heart of the house to allow light into the basement. The family room, office and wine cellar are all connected to the ground floor through a series of timber framed glass walls. This allows the space to feel larger, interconnected and light. A new bespoke kitchen was designed to maximise the space to the family with stone worktops and state of the art appliances. A fumed oak herringbone floor has been used throughout to maximise the flow around the house.
