A luxurious grand hotel dating from 1906, the hotel Palace Lucern is located on the shore of Lake Lucerne, a short walk from the historic centre of Lucerne. Once refurbished, the hotel will provide superior 5 star facilities including spa, dining and conference rooms. Guestrooms will be renewed to the highest standards, with many benefitting from panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The historic Salon Bleu will be restored to its former glory, and a new bar will be the focal point of the hotel. The guest dining rooms will be reimagined, taking full advantage of the access to the lakeside terraces and views onto the tree-lined promenade that borders the lake. The design takes its inspiration from the so-called Lake of Light as Lucerne is known. Abundant light streams into the hotel, and the lake is an ethereal watery canvas set against a backdrop of snowy peaks. A contemporary aesthetic will offset the restored features, and the public spaces will be recast to take advantage of the grand proportions of the hotel.
