The refurbishment of high-ceilinged lower-ground floor rooms, including two new extensions that intrude only minimally into an already compact garden. One extension provides a study/office while the other uses banquette seating to create a new dining area. Oak-clad ledges around the banquettes incorporate the radiators and provide spaces for dishes as well as for a cluster of ‘Caveman’ lamps (by London-based designer Georg Baldele) that give a warm illumination to this intimate family space.
