The project brief involved the design and development of a bespoke dwelling set within Green Belt land. The design has been informed by the existing ‘low level’ equine buildings that occupy the site. The split nature of these buildings and their contribution to ‘openness’ are reinforced within the proposal by creating two distinct forms link by a transparent foyer of smaller proportions thus ensuring openness is maintained and enhanced.
